Accountant

Principal Responsibilities:

Reconciliation of numerous Cash, A/R and A/P general ledger accounts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Evaluate and implement internal controls related to Cash, A/R and A/P
Develop and maintain various Cash, A/R and A/P metrics for the entire company
Preparation of management reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Make end of month journal entries
Occasionally work on weekends and or holidays to prepare month end close outs or other time sensitive accounting tasks
Special projects as assigned

Basic Requirements:

4 year college degree required - financial or quantitative field
Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills, works well with peers and across functions
Demonstrated ability to determine needs, set priorities, organize work, and achieve results without close supervision
Detail oriented with the ability to meet specific deadlines
Excellent business acumen. Ability to improve accounting processes, challenge current thinking, etc.
Ability to become a user of multiple financial systems, including data extraction and report creation
Ability to perform account reconciliations
Expert knowledge of Excel
