Principal Responsibilities:
- Create new business and retain current customers.
- Grow market share by maintaining relationships with Airport Authority and competitors.
- Maintain and reconcile all inventories.
- Remain competitive by manage pricing and discounting while holding margins.
- Supervision of employees, performance management and appraisal, recruiting, terminations, resolve employee issues, maintain and improve employee relations, and other human resources functions.
- Meet productivity goals.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and appealing (to both customers and employees) facility.
- Maintain a satisfied workforce to meet customer needs through communicating deadlines, company plans and other pertinent information.
- Communicate with customers regarding future needs and quality of service received.
- Communicate with other divisions to better serve mutual customers.
- Assure a safe work place for employees and customers.
- Responsible for safety audits and inspections, review incidents/accidents, making appropriate changes, file accident reports.
- Review daily and month end budgets to set short term goals to meet company objectives.
- Prepare budgets, forecast capital needs.
- Manage inventories, making true up adjustments as needed.
- Review appropriate reports to ensure sales, revenue, labor, and profit goals are met.
- Attend Airline Manager, Airport Commission, Chamber of Commerce and other meetings as appropriate.
- Responsible day-to-day management of all assigned FBO operations.
- Serve as leasing agent for company. Manage building leasing, tenant improvements, and marketing.
- Ensure that all applicable FAA, OSHA, Environmental, labor, and company policies, regulations and procedures are followed/enforced.
- Manage airport operations functions per management contract.
- Assist employees in fueling, deicing, moving aircraft, and assisting customers.
- Assist as necessary in repairing and maintaining equipment.
- Ensure all employees receive training in all functions, including safety, appropriate to their jobs.
- Ensure profit margins are maintained while being competitive in local markets.
- Monitor daily/weekly/monthly accounting, fuel accounting, and P&L to ensure profitability.
- Establish and maintain good tenant relations.
- Establish and maintain good vendor relations.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
- 7 to 10 years experience in FBO operation including maintenance of various types of aircraft, aircraft fueling and deicing
- Experience in supervising others
- Working knowledge of all applicable FAA, local airport authority, environmental, manufacturers', airline specific, and safety regulations and requirements.
- Real estate and/or landlord/tenant experience desirable
- FAA Pilot license, multi-engine, multi-instrument ratings if required for specific assignment
Physical Requirements:
- Will use computer and standard office machines regularly
- Must be able to walk, sit, stoop, bend, reach, grasp, and squat
- Must be able to read and comprehend FAA regulations, company policies and procedures, aircraft manufacturers’ repair station manuals and updates
- Must be able to use and model required personal safety equipment (i.e. eye protection, hearing protection, bump caps/hard hats, safety shoes, protective clothing, etc.)
- Position will typically perform many job duties exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, and various inclement weather conditions
- Must be able to safely and effectively operate required equipment
